What is the process difference between hot rolling coil production and cold rolling coil production?

The hot rolled coil production and cold rolled coil production are both happened in steel pressing actions. But their production processes are in different principle for different purpose. They are different stage in coil production.

1. The raw material difference: The hot rolled steel coils are produced from the continuous casting slabs, the coldd rolled steel coils are produced from hot rolled coils.

2. The production temperature: Hot rolling process is happened in 900℃ temperature which is over the steel recrystallization temperature. But the cold rolling process is happened in very low temperature, commonly in room temperature.

3. The production procedure: They are totally designed and engineering in different procedure. In the coil rolling prcess, hot rolling: heating, scale beraking, rough rolling , finishing rolling, cooling.cold rolling: pickling and cold rolling.

4. Roller shape: The hot rolling and cold rolling coil both need rolling stands, and the rolling work are performanced by roller.

Generally, the convex roller are used in cold rolling coil production, and concave roller are used in hot rolling process.
