Iron oxide scale on the strip surface in hot strip production

Performance: Iron oxide skin is generally adhered to the surface of the steel plate and distributed locally and completely on the surface of the plate. Some of the iron sheets are loose and easy to fall off, and some are pressed into the board surface and are not easy to fall off. According to its appearance and shape: red iron, linear iron, wood grain iron, meteor iron, spindle iron, towed iron and loose sand.

Causes:

1. When the slab heating system is unreasonable or the heating operation is poor, the iron sheet is difficult to be removed, and it is pressed into the surface of the iron plate during rolling;

2. The setting of the big stick is unreasonable, the iron sheet is not loose, and it is difficult to remove it;

3. Due to the low water pressure of the high-pressure phosphorus removal water pipe, the water nozzle is blocked, the angle of the water nozzle is incorrect, and the use of the water is not exhausted, the iron sheet on the steel plate is not removed, and is pressed into the surface of the iron plate after rolling;

4. Iron oxide scale occurs more in boiling steel, and red iron is prone to be produced in steel with higher silicon content.
